20/10/2018 ‘Digitale Doebeurs’ (Digital Activity Fair) at De Krook Ghent!
Launched in 2014, the ‘Digitale Doebeurs’ (Digital Activity Fair) is a free interactive fair kicking off the ‘Digitale Week’ (Digital Week). Visitors to the fair get to discover, experience and try out new technologies. Exhibitors include both profit and non-profit organisations and companies keen on sharing their products, projects and best practices with a wide audience. Previous editions of the fair, for instance, saw visitors encountering a care robot, piloting a drone and trying out the latest technologies offered by VRT (the Flemish public broadcaster), among others. The city of Ghent also uses the fair to present its innovation projects such as Ghent in 3D and Apps for Ghent.
Besides a large number of interactive exhibition stands, the fair offering includes workshops for visitors to immerse themselves in a specific technology, such as 3D printing, programming or stop-motion.
